Calling back after a failed delivery
When a rider could not deliver, TeliTask calls the customer the same day to find out why and book a new attempt.
Who uses it: Shops and couriers with returned or undelivered orders.
How it works
- Write a script that asks what happened and offers a new delivery time.
- Add each failed order as it comes back, or send it from your system the moment the rider marks it.
- TeliTask calls, records the reason and the new time, and marks orders the customer no longer wants.
What a call sounds like
- TeliTask
- Hello Brian, this is Acme Store. Our rider couldn’t reach you this morning with your order. What happened?
- Customer
- My phone was off, I was in a meeting.
- TeliTask
- No problem. Can we bring it tomorrow afternoon instead?
- Customer
- Yes, after 2.
- TeliTask
- Tomorrow after 2 then. Thank you, Brian.
What it can do today
- Start a call the moment your system reports a failed delivery.
- Write down the reason in your own categories, such as not home, wrong address or changed mind.
- Book a new delivery time, or call back at a time the customer asks for.
- Remember the customer’s earlier calls and orders when it rings them again.
What it cannot do yet
- Refund or cancel the order itself. It records the customer’s wish for your team or your system to act on.
- Send the customer a text or WhatsApp message after the call.
What you get after each call
The reason for each failed delivery and the new time agreed. Orders the customer cancelled are listed for a person to check.
